The project team is seeking domestic wells in the Lower Umatilla Basin Groundwater Management Area (LUBGWMA) for free water testing to better understand nitrate contamination and its impacts. If you rely on a private well for drinking water, you may qualify for free testing.

Why Test Your Well?

Nitrate contamination in drinking water can pose serious health risks, especially for infants, pregnant people, and individuals with certain medical conditions. Regular well testing helps ensure your water is safe and provides important data to guide long-term solutions for clean drinking water in the region.

Who is Eligible?

  • You must own or use a private domestic well for drinking water.
  • Your well must be located within the LUBGWMA region (Morrow and Umatilla counties).
  • Priority may be given to households that haven't tested their wells recently
